To the members and friends of First Congregational Church
What a joy it is to write to you. I pray that all is well with you and yours and that God’s peace and joy reigns in you life as you read the Spire.
Nancy and I are very pleased and honored to serve you as your Pastor for a season. Our goal is to bridge the gap until we can find the shepherd that the Lord wants lead our Church.
I want to be very aware of every need that you and your family have. We have some very special times of prayer. When you present the need to us we take it very serious and also confidentially.
Secondly, we want to grow and present to the Church a very organized program for the coming year. I will be challenging our boards to move on plans and ideas. If we cannot agree on a project let it go back to a committee to work on it. I don’t want to sit on items or let things hang in air.
Thirdly, let us improve want does work and not fix it. Also let us have documents that explain how we handle visitation, funerals and weddings and all the other wonderful experiences we have available to us at our wonderful Church.
Finally my friends I want to be accountable to you. The Church is for the people of God. I am your shepherd for a season, but the Lord is your Head Shepherd. He loves you and will take care of you. I pray that you will trust Him with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding because He loves you and cares for this flock
